Mr. Robot
Mr. Robot

This unique little robot seems to be unsure about his place in the robot universe. He is part robot, with his tin body, yet he seems almost to be part alarm clock with his windup, spring-driven, clockwork plastic leg wheels and arms, and his ringing bell, which comes to life as he spins around in circles. Certainly, Mr. Robot is very special and dapper, sporting a cute little bowtie on his neck, and an interesting satellite dish on his rear.

(Japanese; Asahi (ATC), early 1960's; Boogaerts #132, Tin Toy Dreams #130; 6 5/8" high; silver lithographed tin body with plastic arms and propulsion wheels, clockwork mechanism. Mr. Robot was acquired from the collection of Matt Wyse.)
