The robot pictured at the left is from the movie
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, 1964 Embassy.
Michael Weldon, in The Psychotronic Encyclopedia of Film,
Ballantine Books, 1983, writes of the movie:
"The spirit of Christmas shines through in one of the worst
movies of any kind ever made. Santa and two Earth kids are kidnaped
by green Martians and a robot. On Mars Santa is forced to make toys
(by pushing buttons), is impersonated, plots a mini-rebellion
and returns to his happy dwarf elves "just in time for Christmas."
. . . "Hooray for Santa Claus," the theme song, was released as a
single and the exciting story was retold in a Dell
comic book."
